By choosing them rather than the elite religious scholars of the day, God demonstrates that divine wisdom comes from the heart and the Holy Spirit, rather than human intellect. As The Fishers of Men: Where The phrase references Jesus' promise to make His followers "fishers of men". Just as they previously cast physical nets to catch fish for the world, they are now sent out with the Gospel to "catch" or draw humanity into the net of God’s kingdom and salvation. And This Means The Power of the Holy Spirit: That The fishermen were only able to preach the Gospel in many languages and convert nations after the Holy Spirit descended upon them at Pentecost (symbolized by the tongues of fire).
